Crossing into Mexico
Do to extreme safety concerns, I urge you to not plan a trip involving crossing the border at any location except for Brownsville, and only then with Team Brownsville. Conditions in Nuevo Laredo and Hidalgo are considered especially dangerous.
If you are concerned for the safety and well-being of the migrants in Mexico living under these same dangerous conditions, I suggest urging your elected officials to intervene and to change the administration's current rules allowing the return of asylum seekers to Mexico. You can also work to educate your friends and neighbors as to the reality facing these migrants due to US policy.
